About Principal Hill
My name is Dennis Hill and I am a 25 year veteran of the Vermont Education system. I have served as an administrator for both public and private non-profit schools since 1996. I live in Middlesex, Vermont with my beautiful and amazing wife, Jennifer. We have three children and have been blessed again with three beautiful grandchildren. My life is a simple one. I play music, am an avid and voracious reader, love time in the woods with my dogs (Samson and Delilah, two beautiful yellow labs) and find every opportunity I can to be with my grandchildren. I believe that Vermont is a special place to be. I have committed my life to the improvement of opportunities for children from all walks of life. I am an eternal optimist and believe that working and supporting the healthy growth of Vermont’s children is what I was put on this earth to do.

While the outside is calm and quiet, the inside of the building is always full of movement and motion. Our students are either hard at work, or hard at play, but either way, they are learning. Wolcott students and staff are committed to creating a community that is founded on mutual care and respect for everyone. Our academics are provided by extremely competent teachers and support staff. We work diligently to ensure that every student is met “where they are at” and then build from there. We measure progress by growth as well as summative outcomes. A student in learning motion tends to stay in motion beyond their time here at Wolcott Elementary School. Our goal every day is to create amazing students, who are amazing people. Kindness, caring, decency, and recognition of the power of community drive our work. There is something very special about this school. We are all fortunate to serve this amazing community and the incredible students who share their days with us.
