The Wolcott Garden Emerges from its Winter Slumber...

Students have been spending time in our school garden with their teachers and Reeve Basom with the Center for an Agricultural Economy, preparing the beds and planting seeds for transplant! Recently, students helped move the bed covers, do some field "taste testing" on various perennial herbs, and plant seeds into containers that will get their start under the warm grow lights inside of the school, so that spring can be spring, with slowly warming days and still cool nights. When the soil warms a bit, students will transplant their seedlings into freshly composted and weeded beds, and let nature do its amazing work!
